Linda Cleary is the Executive Director for NYSCA, joining the Chapter in January, 2018. Linda has over 35 years management experience in non-profit, thirteen of those in the role of Executive Director. Prior to joining NYSCA, she was the Executive Director of McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center for five years in Onondaga County. Linda was born and raised in Corning, NY. She graduated from Syracuse University with a BS in Retailing and spent 10 years in retail management before getting involved in the non-profit world. Linda and her husband Dennis live in Manlius. She has two sons, two step-sons, and three grandsons. In her spare time she likes to read, golf, bake and work on her doll house.
Director of Statewide Programming
Clare Robinson-Henrie is the Director of Statewide Programming for NYSCA where she has worked since May, 2016. In the past ten years Clare has taught elementary and high school classes, run after-school programming and managed operations for an organization that provided support to women incarcerated in several Upstate correctional facilities. She holds a BA in International Studies and Elementary Education from Nazareth College of Rochester and her MPA from the University of Pittsburgh. She was born and raised in Naples, NY and has spent time living and working in Europe, India and Pennsylvania. She now lives in Rochester, NY with her husband Matt and son Lucas. When not caring for a toddler, Clare values opportunities to read, travel, dance, explore languages and generally be an active member of her community.
William (Bill) Starliper has been the Director of Finance for the New York State Children's Alliance since January 2018. Bill has over 35 years of experience in the field of finance, having worked for twenty years as a Finance Director/CFO for several non-profits. Prior to joining NYSCA, he was the Director of Finance at the Child Advocacy Center in Onondaga County. He has extensive experience with processing grants for county, state and federal contracts, financials and budgets, and contract budget development and is a tremendous asset to the Chapter. Bill graduated from LeMoyne College with a BS in Accounting. He lives in Syracuse with his wife of 36 years, Lynn. They have three grandchildren who live in Ireland. Bill's favorite hobby is playing golf.
Patricia Maio Mullin
Communications & Marketing Coordinator
Patricia Maio Mullin joined NYSCA in 2018 as the Communications and Marketing Coordinator. She received her BFA from Syracuse University majoring in Advertising Design. Patty began her marketing/design career in the cable television industry winning awards from HBO and Showtime for creative development. From there, she worked for Syracuse-based advertising/design firms, started her own freelance business, and used her talents at the Child Advocacy Center in Onondaga County as the Marketing and Fund Development Specialist before joining NYSCA. Patty lives in Syracuse with her husband of 36 years, Paul. They have four children. She spends her time traveling around to visit her children - watching lots of baseball and lacrosse games, eating Maine lobsters and visiting D.C.
Education & Training Coordinator
Jami Bolton is the Education and Training Coordinator and has been with NYSCA since November, 2018. Previously, she worked for the Child Advocacy Center in Onondaga County for almost seven years, initially as a Victim Advocate and then in Prevention Education. She received a dual degree in Psychology and Child and Family Studies from Syracuse University before beginning her career in the CAC world. Jami lives in Upstate New York with her husband Jason, their son Luke, and two cats. For fun, she enjoys baking for her friends and family, spending time outdoors and traveling. Jami has genuine enthusiasm for all the people she gets to meet in her role with NYSCA.
MDT Enhancement Coordinator
John Kelly is the MDT Enhancement Coordinator for NYSCA, joining the organization in October, 2019. He joined the Saratoga Springs Police Department and enjoyed assignments that included DARE, School Resource Officer, Bike Patrol & Community Services and finally retiring in 2012 as an investigator. John then joined the Harriet M. West Child Advocacy Center in Saratoga Springs and quickly gained a second family. He was born in Ticonderoga, NY and is the oldest of three, with two sisters. John and his wife, Robyn, have two children, Chad and Morgan. John loves the outdoors and has completed 26 of the 46 High Peaks of the Adirondacks. He volunteers for the Fresh Air Fund as well as being a lead instructor for the Adaptive Sports Program at Mount Snow Vermont. Some day he hopes to slow down and retire to the Carolinas....some day.
Bafelile (Tebo) Cossa
Professional Development & Data Specialist
Tebo Cossa is the Professional Development and Data Specialist for NYSCA, joining the team in April, 2020. Having come from a Child Advocacy Center, she is well versed in the CAC model and has knowledge of database systems. Tebo worked as a Community Outreach & Education Specialist for a year before becoming a Victim Advocate, a position she had for almost 3 years. Prior to her positions at a Child Advocacy Center, she was a Volunteer & Diversity Specialist for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). Tebo graduated with a BA from Global University in South Africa and received a Post Graduate Diploma in Child and Family Studies from the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town, South Africa. She is a puppetry artist and taught puppetry skills to elementary children in an afterschool program. The Cossa family is a multinational family representing South Africa, Mozambique and the USA. Tebo finds joy in spending her leisure time collecting high-end brand bags and shoes at surprisingly affordable prices!
